Watches Repairs

We specialise in providing a comprehensive watch repair services.

Located on Rose Street in Edinburgh’s New Town, our shop handles watch repairs, including battery replacements and strap changes, all done while you wait. We also offer in- house polishing and rhodium plating at competitive prices. Our experienced craftsmen are well- versed in working with a wide range of timepieces, ensuring that your watch is in safe hands.

Valuations

We provide professional valuation services for jewellery, silver, and watches, ensuring each item is carefully assessed by our experienced team.

Jewellery valuations are charged on a per item basis and an estimate will be provided on inspection of the items requiring valuation. An example of our jewellery valuation fees as follows –

One Off document fee £100

Gem set item fee £85 per item

Non gem set item fee £65 per item

Watch fee £85 per watch

Grouping of items under £500 (total of 10 items per grouping)

£90 per group.

All items are fully insured whilst they are with us.

Purchasing

At Goodwins we have been purchasing jewellery & silverware from the public for well over 70 years. We continue this tradition and can offer to buy or part – exchange while you wait.

If you are looking to sell, we recommend visiting our Edinburgh Queensferry Street branch. Ben and Joe Goodwin are based at this branch and will be able to assist. If your items don’t happen to be suitable for our stock, we will endeavour to advise you the best place to take your items and receive a fair offer.

Engraving

At Goodwins we offer a comprehensive hand-engraving service on all precious metals by hugely experienced engravers with specific expertise.

From engraving simple initials to detailed seal engraving we will ensure your item is professionally engraved to your specification. We are always happy to suggest styles and fonts and if you happen to have any inspirational images or ideas, visit us in store and we’ll help guide you through the process.
