Description
A 15ct yellow gold pearl and ruby set swallow brooch. This unique vintage brooch is formed in the shape of a swallow, set with round white seed pearls of varying sizes. The two eyes of the swallows are set with red round cabochon rubies.
The detail on this piece is amazing, from the intricate metalwork of the wings, tail and body of the bird which are adorned with pearls, to the face of the swallow, set with rubies. The wings of the bird are outstretched and its beak is open.
There is a pin to the reverse of the brooch which is in perfect condition and very secure.
This brooch measures 39 x 28mm.
