Description
A magnificent 18ct white and yellow gold Art Deco brooch set with diamonds and sapphires. This piece is made of 18ct yellow gold and tipped with white gold.
The centre of this brooch showcases a dazzling old mine cut diamond mounted in a bezel setting and surrounded by a millgrain edge. The rest of the brooch is set with glistening pavé set rose-cut diamonds and blue sapphires.
The rose cut diamonds shimmer beautifully as they catch the light and add an elegant sparkle to the brooch. The blue sapphires are baguette-shaped and provide a touch of colour. They have a glorious rich and bright blue colour which stands out despite their small size, as they contrast with the white diamonds.
This piece has an exquisite symmetrical design and geometric patterns which are characteristic of the Art Deco period. The intricate millgrain edges and open metalwork add detail to this unique brooch and enhance its sparkle.
The brooch has an elongated Navette-style shape. It measures approximately 58 mm in length and 20 mm in height at the widest point.
It has a gold pin to the reverse which fastens securely.
