Description
This elegant brooch, crafted in 18ct gold circa 1950, is a stunning example of mid- 20th-century jewellery design. Shaped like a flower, the brooch features petals made from richly textured yellow gold, with a soft satin-like finish that adds depth and warmth to the design.
Each petal is accentuated with a sparkling border of round brilliant -cut diamonds, meticulously set to follow the contours of the flower. The diamonds create a dazzling contrast against the matte gold, enchanting the overall brilliance of the piece.
At the center of the brooch lies a cluster of smaller diamonds, arranged to form a radiant focal point that mimics the natural stamen of a flower. Surrounding this centrepiece are meticulously arranged baguette and tapered rubies, forming layers that resemble overlapping flower petals.
The brooch has a secure pin mechanism closure. This piece is a remarkable example of 1950s craftsmanship, blending intricate detailing with an artistic flair – a wonderful addition to any fine jewellery collection.
