Description
A sparkling transitional- cut diamond is bead- set in the centre of the platinum setting. Sixteen additional sparkling old-cut diamond accents are set around the edge of the square face of the ring. The scalloped- edge dips between each diamond create a delicate, ruffled effect.
The Transitional cut is the name given to round, well proportioned diamonds that were cut in between the 1920s and the 1940s, prior to the implementation of Tolkowsky’s Ideal Cut (Brilliant Cut). The Transitional cut has a lower crown angle, a larger table and smaller culet than the Old cut diamonds.
The ring features a milgrain bead- set diamond on each shoulder. The band is crafted in 18ct yellow gold. It is a lovely and dainty ring with a low, flat setting – perfect for everyday wear, and the diamonds catch the light beautifully.
