Each garnet is mounted in a yellow gold rubover setting and surrounded by intricate millgrain detail. The two garnets are a glorious deep cherry red/pink colour.
The centre garnet is surrounded by intricate open metalwork, forming leaf and floral designs which are set with white round seed pearls.
This piece has a pin to the reverse so that it may be worn as a brooch and a hook at the top where a bale or chain can be attached to turn it into a pendant.
The elegant lavalier design is a gorgeous style, typical of late the Victorian and Edwardian eras. This piece is dated circa 1890, dating back to the Victorian era.
The pendant measures approximately 5 cm in height by 3 cm in width.
