Description
A 15ct yellow gold green tourmaline and pearl pendant. This is a gorgeous antique piece dating back to the late Victorian era, circa 1900. It has been crafted in the lavalier style which was a popular design during this period.
The centre of this pendant showcases a beautiful long cushion cut green tourmaline. This stone is suspended at the heart of the piece in a drop. A second tourmaline hangs from the end of the pendant in an articulated drop, it is a longer rectangular cut.
The tourmaline stones are a rich and deep green colour. They are mounted in yellow gold claw settings and surrounded by intricate openwork swirls of yellow gold which complement their colour perfectly.
The rest of the pendant is adorned with round white seed pearls. They add more detail and a touch of elegance to this sophisticated piece. They graduate in size, getting smaller as they reach the top of the pendant.
This piece has a gold bale set with pearls so that it may be worn as a pendant. This bale is removable and there is a pin to the reverse which allows it to also be worn as a brooch.
This is a fascinating, unique and versatile piece. It can be worn in different ways and is perfect for those who love antique and Victorian jewellery.
This piece measures approximately 50 mm in length including the bale and 40 mm without. It measures 30 mm in width.
The pendant comes with an 18ct yellow gold fine curb chain which measures 18″ in length and can be adjusted to 16″.
