Description
An antique pearl and diamond seven stone ring from Victorian era, circa 1880.
The ring is adorned with three lustrous, perfectly round pearls graduated in size and four old cut diamonds.
An old cut diamond is a round diamond primarily cut between 1880-1930. These antique diamonds have a special charm because diamond cutters had to relay on their eyes rather than modern technology to hand cut them, making each stone unique.
The ring has half hoop mount crafted in 18ct yellow gold and intricately designed shoulders. Victorians loved pearl jewellery that was an instantly recognisable symbol of wealth and status.
It is a delightful piece of Victorian jewellery.
