Description
This quintessentially Art Deco ring is set with a single square cut, gorgeous royal blue sapphire stone, surrounded by bright eight transitional cut diamonds in a classic geometric setting with milgrain detail mounted in platinum. The Transitional Cut is the name given to round, well proportioned diamonds that were cut in between the 1920s and the 1940s, prior to the implementation of Tolkowsky’s Ideal Cut (Brilliant Cut). The Transitional Cut has a lower crown angle, a larger table and smaller culet than the Old Cut diamonds. The band is crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The slightly raised setting makes it perfect to wear alongside other rings, it would make a delightful engagement or dress ring.
