Description
An antique Art Nouveau lavalier style pendant made of 18ct yellow gold. This fascinating ornamental pendant showcases two gorgeous amethysts, one at the centre and one hanging from an articulated drop at the bottom of the piece. The amethysts are a lovely rich and vibrant purple which is perfectly complemented by their yellow gold settings. The centre amethyst is a long oval cut, mounted in a bezel setting with a beautiful rope edge. Swirling open metalwork surrounds the centre stone and is a classic Art Nouveau feature in jewellery. The lower amethyst is pear cut and is suspended from the main pendant. It sits in a yellow gold bezel setting.
The oval amethyst measures approximately 10 mm x 5 mm and the pear cut amethyst measures approximately 9.5 mm x 5.5 mm.
The pendant measures 4 cm in height (including the bale) and 2.6 cm in width.
