Description
A gorgeous antique 9ct yellow gold aquamarine and pearl necklace. This is a unique Edwardian necklace with two icy blue aquamarines and a single white round pearl mounted in yellow gold. The pendant is suspended from a fine 9ct yellow gold chain which is fitted to the top aquamarine. This stone is an elongated cushion cut and is mounted horizontally in a four claw setting. Below the top stone hangs a gold bar measuring 2.3 cm in length. The bar splits at the bottom where the pearl is mounted in a rubover setting with beaded edge detail. Finally, a large cushion cut aquamarine is suspended from the setting of the pearl in an articulated drop. This gorgeous aquamarine is mounted in a four double-claw setting.
This antique necklace dates back to the Edwardian era which spanned the years 1901-1910. It is a one-of-a-kind elegant piece with a lot of history.
The pendant measures approximately 4.5 cm in length and the chain measures 34 cm in length (excluding the pendant).
The top aquamarine measures approximately 7 x 6 mm and the lower approximately 10 x 10 mm.
