Description
A unique Victorian 9ct yellow gold bangle adorned with rubies and diamonds dated circa 1900. This lovely antique bangle showcases four rich red rubies and three sparkling old-cut diamonds.
The rubies and diamonds alternate across the surface of the front of the bangle. The stones are each claw-set and surrounded by intricate detailing. The setting for the stones is slightly raised to reveal a delicate beaded metalwork design to the sides. Two gold balls are placed to each side of the setting, adding extra detail and craftsmanship to the bangle.
This bangle has a split design, as it is formed of two gold bars. The setting sits gracefully between these bars at the front of the bangle. To the reverse, the two bars are separated with an open section in the middle. Each gold bar is decorated with rows of millgrain design, intricate beads of metalwork which add further detail to this elegant piece.
This bangle is hinged, which allows for ease of wear. It has a secure clasp with an added safety chain.
The diameter of the bangle is 2.5″. It measures approximately 16 mm in width and the front and tapers to about 12 mm at the back.
