Description
An antique silver Scottish brooch set with agates and citrines. This unique piece features a round citrine centre stone mounted in a rubover setting. The brooch is an eight-pointed star shape and four more citrines in rubover settings are placed in four of the star’s points. These citrines alternate with green, terracotta and grey/white agates.
Each stone is mounted in silver and surrounded by beautifully engraved metalwork. The engraving adds to the intricacy of this brooch which was crafted during the Victorian era and is dated circa 1875.
The brooch measures approximately 4 x 4 cm.
There is a secure pin the reverse of the piece which is in excellent condition.
